Once again, troubling news from Samsung leaves us wanting to cry. On a Turkish forum, a Samsung S24 Ultra owner shared a tragic story: the man had purchased Samsung Galaxy Buds FE, and when his girlfriend borrowed them, one of the earbuds exploded right in her ear. The result was devastating: she will never be able to hear in that ear again.
When the victims reached out to Samsung, they were instructed to visit the nearest service center. The staff at the center were shocked by what they saw and apologized, but the Turkish couple’s ordeal didn’t end there. A few days later, they received a report stating that the earbud “didn’t explode but deformed.”
But that wasn’t the end of it: the man was simply given a replacement for the earbuds, with the added remark that “if you don’t wish to exercise your legal rights [to sue], then we are even less interested.” If Samsung staff hoped to sweep the issue under the rug, they did a terrible job of it.
The man writes that he has been dealing with the issue for months now, and oddly enough, he only just posted about it on Samsung’s official forum. We hope that after this story gains more publicity, the manufacturer will reconsider their approach to avoid further damage to their reputation.
